The app MTS - Music Training System has been recently released on the Google Play store. MTS uses the music not as a simple accompaniment, but as a real time guide to reach the training goals.
MTS allows the user to setup a training profile inserting a fixed heart rate target. Your will hear your favourite music only when inside your fixed training goals. Differently you will hear low and high frequency acoustic cues to bring you back to the music...You have to deserve it!
The app has been designed by Area 3 https://www.areatre.eu/en/, a company focused on human motion and humans/environment interface, locat inside the scientific-technological hub of Porto Conte Ricerche in Sardinia island.
MTS has been developed by LINKS Foundation https://linksfoundation.com/en/, a research institute located in Turin , funded by Compagnia of San Paolo and Polytechnic of Turin, since 2014 with a office in Porto Conte Ricerche. MTS has been developed by the researchers of Circular Economy e Sustainable Living area, focused on on the development of ICT solutions for wellbeing. The activity has been carried out in partnership with the Polytechnic of Turin, with which it has been activated a master thesis of Biomedical Engineering.
MTS has just received a good interest between the insiders. The professional basketball team of Dinamo-Banco di Sardegna Sassari participated to the validation of the first prototype.
